Atlas of Gynecologic Oncology
Published in Hardcover by Mosby (January, 1997)
Average review score:

the best reference book on the market by miles.Never in my wildest dreams have I experienced such pleasure - and that includes practises in bed! I as a dctor myself have found this book invaluable in my further studies of Gynecologic Oncology. Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to read a book of such quality - Dickens and Shakespeare are terrible in comparison! Also, I have seen the brilliant Anthony Silverstone and find him extremely attractive - could you please send me a signed autograph of him. Thankyou

The Auks: Alcidae (Bird Families of the World)
Published in Hardcover by Oxford University Press (May, 1998)
Average review score:

A ¿must have¿ for serious seabird enthusiasts.A fascinating account of the biology of the world's auks (or alcids). Full of valuable nuggets of information, much coming from years of field research by the authors. The text is rich in useful maps, line drawings and tables of facts and figures. The color plates by Ian Lewington are up to his usual very high standard and show all living species in the majority of plumage states. I found the discussion of the evolution and radiation of both extant and extinct species particularly interesting. The high price and limited treatment of field identification may put off many birdwatchers, however those who read the book will be surprised at how interesting the auks really are.

Australian Travel and Tourism Law
Published in Hardcover by Butterworth-Heinemann (January, 1993)
Average review score:

Practical guide for those involved in the business of travelI was pleased to see a book on this subject as there has been so little written about it. I am writing a paper on the legal relationships in the travel industry and I would like to contact the author. My opinion is that travel agents do not fall within the framework of agency law in the true sense. Any comments would be appreciated.. Thanks

Awareness
Published in Paperback by Zondervan (06 March, 1997)
Average review score:

a highly recommended classicThis is an excellent book. De Mello went far beyond the orthodox catholic dogma by addressing what (to me) is one of the most important practical and existential issues facing us: how does one learn to live one's life with the bittersweet delightfulness that accompanies us when we manage to be present and aware. In other words, how do we learn to become a free person. Typically, our awareness is clouded by others' expectations and by our desires to escape the perceived unpleasantness of the present moment. In order to free ourselves from the desires and escapism we need to be aware; de Mello's book is a classic (and still unsurpassed) manual that guides us into the conscious universe where we can finally heave a sigh of relief and start enjoying this great gift of life.
Darlan in fact was involved in a plan to keep Petain's Vichy government in power as a counter to the growing streangth of Communism. When the terms of the plan was revealed, they shocked all those in Britain, France, and the United States who were backing Charles de Gaulle. On December 24, 1942, the Gaullists, supported by the British Secret Service and the American OSS, and probably with the knowledge of Churchill himself, stood back while a certain "patriot" entered Darlan's office and shot him dead. Drawing on interviews and new-found sources, the author tells the full ugly story of the unknown turning point in the secret battle over who would lead France.
